THE STORY

(This takes place from the beginning of 2008 to New Year's Eve of 2010.)

The city of Greenshore is one shrouded in mystery. It's buildings are similar, in architecture, to the cities of eastern Europe. And nobody has ever actually encountered the mayor themselves; he makes an appearance on the news alone. Why are there so many churches? Why are there signs written in some archaic language that nobody knows? Though, if there was only to be a singular rule within the city, it'd be this: don't get involved with the unknown. They always say ignorance is bliss!

Joshua Liam Miller is a curious man, however, and the recent uptick in disappearances and strange weather patterns have felt off to him. He's doing alright for himself, but he wants to be apart of something big. So he gathers his friends and says this: "There's something out there." Unbeknownst to the group, this is a problem that bleeds into more than the city. Curiousity killed the cat. The blade, here, is both metaphorical and literal. Beings that can create life and destroy it with even more ease are not to be dealt with by the crying, soft, mortal things we are.

MISCELLANEOUS WORLDBUILDING

Greenshore was originally a fishing port.
The band Liam is in is called "Dog Tag". They are not exceedingly popular, though they have a cult-like following to be sure.
The Army of Watchers is a cult led by Vermillion, and co-led by a woman named Veronica. It is based on Anaism. It functions as a complete society outside of the city of Greenshore with a small "town" of sorts built just for it. There are around eight hundred members. Within the cult are multiple Fialeh and their associated Watchers: Boy, who is under the care of Oliver (The Watcher of Death); A young woman named Inji, who acts as a Kondia-Ka in the AOA cadre-yetii (named The Cadre-Yetii of the Three Star Ballad)-- she is under the care of Esther (The Watcher of Faith); and Pickett, who is under the care of Dutina (The Watcher of Hunger). Other important figures in the cult are Naomi, who is the one who leads sacrficies during Izyet Mach Jok and works other miscellaneous jobs; and Ajdin, who is a Skibaa for the cadre-yetii. The AOA has been around for only a few years-- god knows how it got so popular so quickly. The only thing that's for sure is that Vermillion has big, big plans (which involve the destruction of Earth as a whole).
The Army Of Watchers' grounds lay a few miles southwest of the Greenshore city borders. Hidden deep within the forest, one can only really stumble across them if they are deliberately searching.
